# Stebnitz Builders featured in Parade of Homes - September 14 & 15
If you only see one house in the Parade of Homes this year, let it be the spectacular Pole Barn House on the northern outskirts of Elkhorn. Tucked away on 30 acres, this home - and the vision of its owners, Jeff and Shelly Auberger - is proof that you don’t have to be born in a barn to want to live in one.
But this is not your grandfather’s barn. A unique multi-level rectangle, its post-frame construction is covered in corrugated red, black and gray metal. The benefits of all that metal? It’s maintenance-free and gorgeous. This industrial-meets-contemporary home is exactly what the Aubergers, who both work for Stebnitz Builders, had in mind. Jeff is a Remodeling Consultant and Designer, with 20 years in the industry. Shelly is a Selections Coordinator.
Inside, industrial meets contemporary with three bedrooms, two baths, a state-of-the-art kitchen, and an aging-in-place in-law suite. The flooring is polished concrete and the fireplaces are metal. Still, a warm aesthetic abounds with mixed textures of hand-scraped woodwork and quartz and spectacular granite counters. Glass garage-style doors in the great room open, bringing the outside in. Clean, straight lines, rows of windows, soaring ceilings, and sleek design elements form a one-of-a-kind, 2,500-square-foot home.
Functional, resilient and stunning in its practicality and design, the Pole Barn House is a must-see in this year’s line up, don’t miss it.
