We have many clients whose homes are located in a wooded area, harboring large populations of beautiful, but hungry deer. One of our most recent clients shared with us their own proven, homemade Deer Repellent they use in the Abbey Springs area in Fontana where deer are prevalent and not bashful about sneaking a bite to eat. According to our clients, applying this concoction every couple weeks to plants and shrubs will keep the deer from nibbling on those hostas and other deer-delicious perennials.
And the best part is ... it's CHEAP!!
No need to buy the expensive mixes you find in the store. This is a tried and true method that will cost you very little in comparison with the stuff you find in the store. Check it out:
Deer Repellent
1/2-cup Milk
1- egg
1 Tbsp liquid dish soap
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
Mix and fill in to milk jug. This can be added in to most types of sprayers to apply, but clean after use as it will clog otherwise.
Apply every other week.
Let us know if this works for you or if you have a concoction of your own you'd suggest.
