A Legacy of Leadership: Rejoining RA Roundtables
At Stebnitz Builders, growth has never been accidental. It has been intentional and rooted in a commitment to learning and improvement.
This month, we’re proud to share that Owner Chris Stebnitz and Brand Manager Sam Stebnitz have rejoined a Remodelers Advantage Owner’s Roundtable group — a step that reflects both our dedication to professional development and a legacy that stretches back nearly three decades.
For Stebnitz Builders, roundtables are not something new. They are part of our foundation.
Where It All Began: 1996
In 1996, former owners Dave, Gary, and Dan Stebnitz joined a Remodelers Advantage Roundtable group at a pivotal time in the company’s history.
Like many builders, they had strong craftsmanship and a growing reputation. But the roundtable experience helped them develop something just as critical: a deeper understanding of how to run a remodeling business effectively and profitably.

Through structured discussions and peer collaboration, they strengthened financial practices, operational systems, and leadership strategies. Dave, Gary, and Dan often credited their roundtable involvement with helping Stebnitz Builders become a stable, successful company — one able to support their three families while continuing to serve homeowners with excellence.
That commitment to learning became part of our company’s DNA.
Chris Joins in the Mid-2000s
In the mid-2000s, Chris Stebnitz joined a Remodelers Advantage Roundtable group as he prepared to take on greater leadership within the company.
For Chris, the experience provided mentorship, accountability, and clarity.
“You’re not just talking about projects,” Chris reflects. “You’re talking about leadership, financial health, systems, and long-term vision. With the other nine companies in your roundtable, you have at your fingertips, a personal Board of Directors ready to lend their expertise to any issue you're facing.”

When Chris transitioned into ownership in 2010, he did so with the confidence and structure built through those early roundtable years. The lessons he gained helped guide Stebnitz Builders through changing markets, evolving client expectations, and industry shifts.
Roundtables were not simply networking opportunities — they were a leadership training ground.
Ushering in the Fourth Generation
Now, in 2026, Chris and Sam have rejoined a Remodelers Advantage Owner’s Roundtable as Stebnitz Builders steps into its fourth generation of leadership.
For Sam Stebnitz, Brand Manager and part of the next generation, the roundtable offers valuable insight into how strong remodeling companies continue to evolve.
“As we look toward the future of Stebnitz Builders, we’re thinking about sustainability, culture, client experience, and long-term leadership,” Sam shares. “The roundtable gives us perspectives that sharpen all of that.”

Rejoining together represents continuity — the passing of wisdom, values, and discipline from one generation to the next.
What Is Remodelers Advantage?
Remodelers Advantage is one of the most respected peer networking organizations in the remodeling industry. Their Owner’s Roundtable groups bring together top remodelers and builders from across the country to collaborate in structured, confidential environments.
These groups focus on:
- Financial benchmarking
- Leadership accountability
- Operational excellence
- Strategic growth
It’s not about competition. It’s about collective improvement — and for Stebnitz Builders, it has played a meaningful role in shaping who we are.

Why This Matters for Our Clients
Home remodeling is deeply personal. It requires trust — not only in craftsmanship, but in leadership and business integrity.
By participating in a professional roundtable, Stebnitz Builders continues to invest in stronger systems, refined processes, and long-term stability. For our clients, that means working with a builder who values accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Looking Ahead
As Stebnitz Builders moves forward into its fourth generation, we do so grounded in the lessons of the past and energized by the future.
Rejoining the Remodelers Advantage Owner’s Roundtable reinforces a simple truth:
Great builders never stop building — not just homes, but themselves.
