Passing the Sax

Music is a large part of my life, ever since I was a freshman in high school. I have to thank my parents, especially my mom (she has the musical talent) and my grandfather, Harold (mom's dad) and great grandfather Julian (my mom's grandfather) who were all so very talented musically. Being able to carry on that tradition is a very special thing to me.

Last night, I witnessed a passing of the torch - or saxophone in this case - as my oldest son, Sam played his first jazz band concert. The 7th and 8th jazz grade band was really good, doing things I had done, but four years younger than I had been. It was a proud father moment that I wanted to share with you.
